Located in Lower Silesia Polanica-Zdrój is famous as a health resort. Its medicinal springs are famous since the 16th century because of their restorative properties and exquisite taste. Ploanicac became a popular health resort in the 1870s. In 1904 discovery of new springs and establishing of Polanica Spa contributed to the growth of the resort.
